schools and professional support

Staff development, mental heath and wellbeing

  • Enhance the skill set of your team and boost staff confidence and wellbeing through bespoke training sessions that are designed in collaboration with you.

Please get in touch to discuss your school’s needs. Previous topics covered include:

    • emotional and social development

    • emotional-based school avoidance

    • memory

    • supporting pupils with SEND in the classroom

    • developmental trauma

    • autism

    • ADHD

    • dyslexia

  • Support staff knowledge, understanding and wellbeing.

I offer consultations with teachers and/or teaching assistants. I create safe, containing spaces to help staff unpick and problem-solve the unique challenges they may be encountering.

  • Share good practice, upskill staff, and support mental health, wellbeing and connection amongst colleagues.

I facilitate work discussion groups for teachers and teaching assistants in which cases are raised and discussed using a group problem-solving framework.

  • Explore uncertainties and difficulties at work in a safe supervision space.

I help educational professionals to explore challenging situations, consider what might be happening and their role within it, and reflect together on new ways forward. Taking the time to create this space allows for greater clarity of purpose and a renewed energy for managing the unique challenges that teachers face on a daily basis.

Individual Pupil Consultation and Assessment

  • Consultation

All individual work starts with an initial consultation with the key adults who support the child or young person, including staff and parents. This allows me to develop a clear understanding of where the young person is, and for us to co-construct the next steps needed to support them.

  • Assessment

If it is decided that further information is required, I am able to draw upon a wide range of assessments to further explore the child or young person’s social, emotional or cognitive strengths and needs. Please see Assessments Offered PDF (link also in footer) for more information.

  • Feedback

After consultation and/or assessment is completed, I provide feedback through a range of formats, including reports and feedback meetings.

Parental Support

  • Parent drop-in sessions

I run 30-minute drop-in sessions for parents which allow them to discuss any concerns they may be having with their child at home and develop strategies to support them.

  • Training and support groups

I offer bespoke training for parents on how to support their children or young people at home and with school. Previously offered topics have included:

    • emotional and social development of children

    • understanding the teenage brain

    • autism

    • ADHD

    • dyslexia
