Support for parents

Parent Coaching and consultations

Parenting in the modern age is a critically–important, 24/7 job. And it is hard – especially in the current climate, where we are facing constant changes and challenges. The fact is that we are raising children in a world that is vastly different to the one in which we grew up, with a future that is advancing rapidly. This can easily become overwhelming, and we can often feel underprepared or deskilled.

I offer parenting support through coaching sessions focused on supporting you in your role. These can be held in person or online.

The coaching spaces I create are a safe place to share challenges, offload, feel heard and problem-solve. The aim is to develop confidence, new skills and understanding, and have a clear idea of next steps.

Equipping parents with extra tools and a better understanding of themselves and their children can often make all the difference to how families manage changing and challenging times. This isn’t something for just some of us: there are times when we all need a little extra support and space to think and grow.

In our sessions, I aim to bring my unique knowledge of coaching, child development, psychology to support parents in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves, their children and their families in order to feel more confident in their interactions and parenting approaches.

Consultation sessions

What do they involve?

  • Initial session

At the initial session, I meet with you to hear the concerns that you feel you have. This is your space to talk in depth about the experiences you have been navigating.

As we move through the session, we will begin to develop a practical, achievable plan for you to start to put into place.

We will then book a review session to check in on progress.

  • Stack of balanced stones on a flat rock with green plants in the background.

    Review session

At our review session, we will focus on the specific outcomes we talked through in the initial session and look at how the plan is going.

This process of support and accountability will enable you to effectively embed your desired plan into your daily family life.

  • Further support

For some parents, two sessions are sufficient. For others, we may schedule a couple of additional sessions to give ongoing support and continue to adjust your plan to meet your needs.
